| The
Otis "Elevator" Gilmore Album Flyright FLY 623 (1989) |
Tracks: | Otis "Elevator" Gilmore is no other than Danny Adler himself. This album was recorded with Russell Givens on bass and Pauline Cramer on drums. Recorded at Finch's Sound Studios, Cincinnati, Ohio. The rumour has it that the tape of this album was sent to a lot of record companies, with the words that it contained recordings with an old bluesman being undiscovered until present day! I guess that Flyright Records was about to release his album when Danny revealed the hoax. On a sticker put over the Flyright logo says "These are not recordings by Otis Gilmore but Danny Adler. This is not an Interstate Music production". |

Make A Move Proper Records PRPCD 8 (1998) |
Tracks: |
This compilation released on Proper Records, pretty much sums up Danny's career after the days of Roogalator. And it's a good one too, with one track ("I Better Make A Move") not released before. When it comes to Roogalator, Proper Records got a cd released with the name "Cincinnati Fatback" which takes care of that part of his career, and which I hope to write about when I get that far alphabetically in my presentations of bands of the pub-rock era. |
