Jefferson is the oldest blues-magazine in the world! Good articles and lots of reviews, mostly in Swedish but some of it in English too. Quarterly.

Backstage is a music paper written totally in Norwegian and covers the ground of rock, pop, blues, heavy, jazz and beyond. Not yet, but soon they will be on the net. Next issue will be out in week 48. The release frequency is 5 numbers a year.

Norwegian magazine in Norwegian, but also have some stuff in English on their site. Covers the ground of progressive music. Quarterly.

Mojo is the best reading about rock and related music for the time being. Bloody good articles written by people who know what this is all about. And of course lots of reviews in many genres. Monthly.

Classic Rock are very much like Mojo in many ways, but are leaning more towards the hard classic rock. Great articles here too together with a lot of reviews. Monthly.

Froots is the same magazine who earlier was called Folk Roots. Very good, covering folk music, world music, country and blues. Bi-monthly.

Dirty Linen is the American magazine similar to Froots, very good indeed, covers much of the same ground, but leaning a little more towards country-music than Froots. Loads of reviews here and very good articles here too. Bi-monthly.

The best Norwegian magazine in the field of hard rock and heavy metal. Lots of reviews here and short but good articles. In Norwegian but their site is in English. Clever. Bi-monthly.

The magazine for those of you interested in PC's and graphics. And that's final! Comes out monthly, but also have special issues from time to time, about four times a year I think.

Music Info

A book which I just can't live without is the great reference book of Terry Hounsome called "Rock Record". A colossal amount of information is gathered here about artists/bands and their releases. And the good news is that it's available on CD-rom now! Push logo to get in contact with the man himself for ordering book or CD-rom....or both!

Heaven for those of us interested in progressive rock! Extreme amounts of info about bands/artists in the progressive/symphonic/art-rock/neo-prog vein here. And you may contribute with info here yourself. Great.

A good friend of mine, Frode Bye, has done this excellent site which he uses to celebrate artists which deserves a much wider recognition. So far Dana Gillespie is the only one represented here so far, but what an extensive info there is here about her! Keeep a close watch here for exciting artists to come!

This site is the homesite of a friend of mine named Magne Røskaft. He's done a great job so far focusing on progressive rock from Norway, both past and present. And he have great plans for future entries, so watch out.

Tommy Schönenberg is a true capacity when it comes to progressive rock from the 70's and his site is a real beauty in both information and graphics. Loads of reviews and regularly updates makes this site some of the best there is about progressive rock!

CD Vendors

Here's one of the best there is when it comes to progresssive rock and hard rock from all over the world. They are also a record company who have released good bands like Lucifer Was, Lotus, Bigelf, Landberk and Ensemble Nimbus just to name a few. Based in Sweden.

Here's another one from Sweden and it's a good one too. Progressive rock, hard rock and AOR are their are their main field. Has even got a list over secondhand-cd's and lp's which are worth checking out!

The best vendor of cd's in the progressive vein in Norway. And with very pleasant prices! They haven't got any site yet but I think it's under construction. But if you use this use this mail-address and ask for catalogue, you will get one when their next is in print.

This vendor are increasing their stock all the time and have reasonable prices with fast delivery. And they do special orders on your request. Good!

German record company who releases cd's in the roots/Americana vein, but also delivers music in many veins from rock to blues, progressive and roots. Great catalogue.

Very much the same as Music Network. Good!

Based in Germany Soundhouse delivers cd's in many veins at good prices and they often have lots of bargains in their monthly catalogue. They don't have any site of their own yet, but use the mail-address for contact and you will receive their next cataloge when it's released.

GFT is one of the better English vendors when it comes to cd's in progressive vein.

German record company who releases cd's in the blues vein, but of course delivers a lot other blues releases as well. And they have the most extensive catalogue over blues releases I've ever seen! Often a lot of bargain cd's to offer. Do not have a site of their own yet, but use the mail-address for contact.

From Wales and the one of best vendors when it comes to blues and related music. Also do have lots of used and bargain cd's to offer in their bi-monthly catalogue, which you'll receive as a regular buyer.

Looking for legal mp3's ? Well, here a hell of good place to start. Lots of bands and artist, most of them maybe unknown to the public, but you'll also find artists here with a record-contract and several releases out on heir own here.
