Me, Myself, I

It's always hard when you come to the point when you try to say something about yourself.......for me it's like that.

Well, let's get to the point. As you can see for yourself I am a bloody male, just take a look at those hairy arms (a friend….did I really say friend??!…once told me that I was the living proof of Darwin's theory on the evolution of man). Born in the year of '57, so how old I am you can figure out yourself. In the official archives I am entered as a single and that's the truth. So far I've not contributed anything to the over-population of the world, in other words I've not been doing any reproducing so far. Even though I find the practice very pleasant.

To finance my spare time (and keep those bloody bills of my back) I'm working as a train-engineer, employed by the NSB (Norwegian State Railways). I've been doing that for the last 23 years now, so I guess it's ok. When I'm not working I love listening to music, as you by now maybe would have guessed. And when you are a music-lover you buy a lot of music, right?! At least I do, I can tell you that! So my record-collection now counts about 10 000 cd's, 4900 lp's and somewhere between 600 to 700 singles (7 and 12 inch'ers). And the horrible thing is that it's increasing….!! Most in the cd-department of course, but from time to time some vinyl also hits the archives. When it comes to the music, it covers a lot of ground, but I have a weak spot for blues and progressive music, mainly from the 70's.

Have also done a lot of work (unpaid!) for some local radio-stations around the area where I live. Some 7 years plus, all together. So now you smart-asses think that's the main reason for the size of my record-collection, is hordes of free promo-material, but it's not! I've only received a handful of releases through the years which I was to bring home as a compensation for the work I did. And that's the truth! Believe it or not …….
