Comments: 4 Non Blondes I guess a lot of you are familiar
with. They were hugely successful some years ago with their monster hit
"What's Up". But there was more to it than just the hit, but they were
never able to follow that one up. It's a real pity because they were a
good rock band, with Linda Perry's colossal voice and songwriter
capablities as their greatest effort. 4 Non Blondes were disbanded
after this album and Linda Perry is now solo with two releases out under
her own name.
About Mark Ryden, which is artist who has painted the
cover, I know nothing about. But here he shows us that he's probably slightly
influenced by the eccentric Salvador Dali. The painting is powerful, colourful
and slightly macabre. At first sight it looks rather innocent, but a closer
look reveals a train engineer with a lunatic grin smashing everything in
his way (it's not me!!). In other words, not the kind of poster you will
fancy hanging over the bed of your four year old kid. |
