| Comments: Camel is still among us but this is the cover of their debut which was released in 1973. A very good debut it is, in the progressive/symphonic genre not that far from Canterbury bands like Caravan, Hatfield & The North and National Health, but still got a sound completely their own. Refined music from good musicians with an expression which truly stands the test of time. Nowadays only guitarist Andy Latimer is left of the original line-up, but he's bloody important too to their easy recognizable style. My guess here is that painter Modula here has used airbrush to gain the soft edged feel to this painting. The transforming of the tears into stars are just great! Imagine a long train journey that takes you from the night into the day without the hours of the twilight, well it may hurt your eyes till they start to shed a tear or two.......... |
