For a long time I've wanted to write about some real classics in the pub-rock genre, and here are a handful of the best....but there will be more later....I've been very generous with the superlatives this time, as you may notice when you start reading ....but these albums surely deserves it! These have been played a LOT and have been winners on many parties. Fantastic good-time music!

THE BISHOPS - "Cross Cuts"
Dr. FEELGOOD - "Stupidity"
STEVE GIBBONS BAND - "Down In The Bunker"
THE INMATES - "First Offence"
LEW LEWIS REFORMER - "Save The Wail"

My good friend Frode Bye alias Mr. Blues Man has an extensive and very good discography about Steve Gibbons on his excellent site!

Not yet, but in about a months time, the excellent Norwegian music paper Backstage will be online. Watch this space for link when they are on the net. More info on the Links site.

September 30th 2001

This time I've chosen to do a presentation of a female blues artist who really deserves to be better known. Her name is Karen Tyler and she's one hell of a singer and songwriter. One of the really great voices around these days! And she's sharp on the guitar as well! Check her out before she gets too big....Then you can brag about it to your friends .. :-) Remember where you read it first! :-)

KAREN TYLER - "Streets & Serenades "
KAREN TYLER - "Lovin' The Blues Too Long"
KAREN TYLER - "Alone And Blue"

And Ken Thornton is responsible for the great site about Patto, Timebox and Boxer in the "Patto" link. Sorry about my bluntness here ! I hope those people which I now link up to can forgive me... :-)
